When choosing your manufacturer, you may notice that the bigger brands (such as Baxi and Ideal) may cost more than smaller brands that are relatively unheard of. Boilers are expensive anyway, so we understand you may not want to splash out extra for a big name- but the extra money pays off! The big brand names are so popular for a reason. What type of boiler do you need?Once you have decided on a manufacturer, you need to decide on the type of boiler you need. Some boilers are best suited to larger homes, such as conventional and system boilers. These can meet a high demand for water but require water storage tanks in your loft. Alternatively, there are combi boilers that work directly from mains pressure. They are highly efficient as they don’t store any water, heating it up as and when you need it.
